MEDICINES and MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

I need to travel with medicines and medical equipment. What can I take on board?

Passengers can carry prescription medicines, medical equipment, baby products and non-prescription medicines on-board during the flight. They should be properly marked with a professionally printed label identifying the medication and the manufacturer's name or pharmaceutical label. Staff at the security screening point may require you to provide proof of need documentation.

Liquids, aerosols and gels of less than 100ml should be placed in a transparent, resealable bag.

If the container is larger than 100ml, it will need to be separately screened at the security checkpoint.

Remember to always pack all essential medication you need for your flight and onward journey in your carry on luggage (along with extra prescription paperwork and letters from your doctor) in the event you are unexpectedly separated from your checked baggage at any point of your travels.
