Installation of Solar at Albury Airport
The scope of this project is to install a photovoltaic system at the Albury Airport which will reduce the current electricity consumption.
KDEC Electrical and Solar were awarded the contract to complete the Solar Array installation to reduce the energy usage at Albury Airport. The solar modules are located on the Eastern side of the secure car park and consist of 128 x 415W solar modules offering a 53.12kW array in addition to the current 50kW array. Two 27kW inverters have also been installed to covert the variable direct current output of the solar panels into a utility frequency alternating current that can be fed into the grid. The airport will not receive financial benefit from exporting to the grid as it is on a large market electricity contract.
The scope of this project is to install a photovoltaic system at the Albury Airport which will reduce the current electricity consumption. Due to the continued growth of the airport, the existing solar system has become insufficient. For that reason, an additional solar system is required to support future growth of the Albury Airport.
